Jurgen Ziewe started producing 3d illustrations when this media was in its infancy, and in the nineties, millions of his digitally generated consumer posters were sold worldwide. As a result a folio book of his mainly fantasy orientated work was published in 1997 by Collins & Brown. Since then he has further developed his style to bring a lyrical element to the latest 3D modelling technologies. His 3D imaging skills cover all areas of the natural world including landscapes, animals and vegetation.

Jurgen also uses advanced rendering engines which are based on the physics of real light rather than simulation. Its algorithms and equations reproduce the behaviour of light in a completely accurate way. All elements such as light emitters, material shaders and cameras, are entirely based on physically accurate models, which makes it hard to distinguish CG generated images from real life photography.
